Meeting The UGKs

I was in Port Author in August (2007), and I went to this event that I was told Bun and Pimp put on ever year. Pimp could not attend, but Bun pulled up with his people, and the love that he got from the people there amazed me. I wanted to go over and talk to him but he had photo shot or something he was doing across the street so i missed my chance to meet Bun B. It just so happens that we stayed in a hotel less than 3 blocks away from Pimp C house. now in Miami the stars kinda hide themselves from regular everyday working people, which I can understand. Pimp C house sits right on main street. Now im in the music business and I meet artist all the time. (True Story) Im riding down the street, I look over as im passing Pimp C's house and I see diamonds shining. I make a u-turn and go back pass the house and he outside on his cellphone. I ride by, and he throws up a piece sign, but I keep rolling cause he in front of his house. I go up the block ride back down, and say the hell wit it, all he can do is say get from in front of my house. I get out walk with some of my artist music, and walk towards him. when I got over to him he says, give me a few man im on the phone with Rick. Im thinking well maybe he think he know me from somewhere, but when he get off the phone he started asking where I was from, how long I had been out that way, shoot me he's number. And we would text eachother from time to time just like we had been homies all our life. Half the time he had to break that pimp lingo down so I could under stand him, but I thinkn that was probably some off the best times I shared with anybody, me say I just got a text from Pimp C. Im going back out to Port Author in August this year to see if I can get to meet Bun B, and again in September for DJ Screwfest. (R.I.P Pimp C) Much Love From Dade County

I never meet Bun or Pimp c. I remember UGK back in the days but I just didnt keep up with UGK music like I should have. But when Bun came out with his solo cd TRILL. I've been making sure that I keep up with UGK. I have BUN AND PIMP C SOLO album. I have the Underground King douple album and I went and bought the best of UGK. I was sorry to hear that about Pimp c. My prayers goes out to his family and friends. TRUE ARTIST WITH REAL MUSIC. UGK HAS MUCH RESPECT FROM ME. I just hate I was slipping on there music but I'm GLAD IM ON TRACK NOW and I will continue to by UGK ALBUMS. YOU BEST BELEIVE. HOLD IT DOWN BUN AND HOPEFULLY THERE WILL BE A DAY I WILL GET A CHANCE TO MEET YOU. MAYBE WHEN YOU COME TO THE ATL. YOU NEVER KNOW. MUCH LOVE

I never had a chance to meet Bun B or Pimp C. I was so sorry to hear that about Pimp c. My prayers goes out to his family and friends. Bun hang in there man and keep ya head up.
